“The Cord” film by Allaith Hajjo Toward the Short Film Festival 2018 in Nigeria

After its last participation in Istanbul, Turkey… “The Cord” film by Allaith Hajjo is booking a place at the Short Film Festival 2018 in Nigeria during the period of 20-22 December this year, to be its fourth official participation in the international festivals.

The film started its tour at El-Gouna International Film Festival in Egypt between 20-29 last September. Then, it won the Scenario Award at Festival du Court-Metrage d’Auch in its eighth edition last November in France. While the third participation was in December the 7^th at International Silk Road Film Festival in Turkey.

The film stars are Nancy Khoury, Yazan Khalil, Duha Aldibs, Jamal Al-Ali, Sanaa Al-Sawah… it took place at Al-Zabadani city.

It represents the severe journey of a married couple who are living in one of the sieged Syrian neighborhood, the wife enters an early labor, and we experience the labor risks and pain a moment by moment while the sniper’s bullets prevents the midwife from reaching the mother.
